Faculty of Social and Political Sciences Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar in collaboration with Tohoku University Japan, Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin Malaysia, Political Sciences Association of Kasetsart University Thailand, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia, and Asia Pacific Society for Public Affairs (APSPA) organize the International Conference on Enviromental Governance (ICONEG 2018) under the topic of “Intersecting Law, Religion, and Politics for Sustainable Development”. This conference aims to provide a platform for scholars, researchers and practioners to share their insight, ideas and experiences.

In this era, the heavy burden of civilization is a narrative about relations between human and nature especially in environmental problems. Cross cutting issues such as environmental policy, disaster risk reduction, sustainable development, and global food crisis, have emerged and need to be responded quickly. In order to benefit from the opportunities and to manage the threats, understanding and cooperation among actors whether on international, national or local level are required to deal with those cross cutting issues.

Therefore, we invite scholars, researchers and practioners to participate in the conference and contibute their ideas and recommendation in dealing with recent issues. We are looking forward to welcoming you in Makassar on April 25-27th, 2018!

International Conference on Economic and Business Expertise 4.0-2020 (ICEBe)

A business (also known as an enterprise, a company or a firm) is an organizational entity involved in the provision of goods and services to consumers.[1][2] Businesses serve as a form of economic activity, and are prevalent in capitalist economies, where most of them are privately owned and provide goods and services allocated through a market to consumers and customers in exchange for other goods, services, money, or other forms of exchange that hold intrinsic economic value.

Economics (UK English: /iːkəˈnɒmɪks/, /ɛkəˈnɒmɪks/;[1] US English: /ɛkəˈnɑːmɪks/, /ikəˈnɑːmɪks/[2][3]) is "a social science concerned chiefly with description and analysis of the production, distribution, and consumption of goods and services" according to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary.

Mathematics and Statistics

Mathematics (from Greek μάθημα máthēma, “knowledge, study, learning”) is the study of topics such as quantity (numbers),[2]structure,[3] space,[2] and change.[4][5][6] There is a range of views among mathematicians and philosophers as to the exact scope and definition of mathematics.[7][8]

Statistics is a branch of mathematics dealing with the collection, analysis, interpretation, presentation, and organization of data.[1][2] In applying statistics to, e.g., a scientific, industrial, or social problem, it is conventional to begin with a statistical population or a statistical model process to be studied.

It is about creating something new by crossing boundaries, and thinking across them. It is related to an interdiscipline or an interdisciplinary field, which is an organizational unit that crosses traditional boundaries between academic disciplines or schools of thought, as new needs and professions emerge.
